Schubert and Tippett sonatas

Very fine concert today by pianist, Robert Bridge, playing two contrasting sonatas: Tippett no.1 and Schubert G major.

Our audiences are growing and we regularly hit around the 85-90 mark these days – even on Valentine’s Day! It was well worth sacrificing those cosy romantic tete-a-tetes today to hear such fine music making…

Next up, a complete contrast: baroque chamber music for recorders, baroque clarinets and harpsichord with James Brookmyre, Jane Booth and John Irving – featuring works by giants of the baroque: Telemann, Handel and Bach (and including Bach’s 1st “French Suite” for harpsichord). Not to be missed! 3.00pm on Sunday 13 March.
