We were privileged indeed to hear renowned pianist, Margaret Fingerhut play a splendid recital of music by Ukrainian composers from the 19th and 20th centuries for us at Music in New Malden before a packed house on 13 October. Margaret’s dedication to this and other charitable causes earned her an MBE in the 2024 Honours List, and deservedly so! She enthralled us with her playing and insightful spoken introductions to each item in her programme.

Our next two concerts feature respectively VOX DUO (a young vocal ensemble from New Malden who will entertain us on 10 November, and a return visit from the HARMONIE CHOIR AND ORCHESTRA performing Part 1 of Handel’s Messiah for us just before Christmas.

News, finally, of a recent very generous anonymous sponsorship deal to support future outreach work…

We have been fortunate in the past (pre-Covid) to receive grant income from various sources including Kingston Council for work with local schools and care homes. This latest significant donation will support similar initiatives, but also masterclasses for local students over the course of the next 2-3 years. We are presently developing our plans, and will announce these as soon as we are able.
